Sony tuo osaan televisioistaan Apple AirPlay 2 -tuen
Sony on tuo osalle vuosien 2018 ja 2019 televisioitaan uuden ohjelmistopäivityksen. Se tuo mukanaan Apple AirPlay 2 -tuen, jonka kautta Apple laitteilta voi suoratoistaa mediaa television kautta.
AirPlay 2:n saapumista lupailtiin televisioihin jo tammikuun CES 2019 -tapahtumassa. Samalla televisiot päivittyvät Android 9 Pie -versioon. Samalla saapuu myös HomeKit-tuki.
Päivitettäviä malleja ovat tämänvuotisista XBR Z9G, A9G, X950G ja X850G sekä viimevuotisista XBR Z9F ja A9F -sarjat.
