Dirac unveils his room-tuning bass control module at CES 2019 – making it easier to use with multiple subwoofers
Dirac is announcing a new Bass Management Module at CES 2019 to its Live room tuning software. It allows you to control multiple subwoofer systems.
The system is promised to expand and improve the low-frequency reproduction of the Live Room Correction System in various ways. It is said to be suitable for both home and professional use. The module will be available in the second quarter of 2019, as expected.
A Swedish room renovation expert unveiled earlier this year a new version of his Live renovation app, and at the same time announced that it would be released with new modules every year. It promises easier bass tuning control with visual aids without the need for multiple consecutive tests.
The software optimizes playback based on room dimensions and speaker placement, so there is less fuss with moving the subwoofer to different places in the room. Also, with a single subwoofer, results can improve, eliminating the need for more bass speakers altogether.
The Dirac Live software is available for Mac and Windows computers as well as Android and iOS mobile devices. Compatible devices have been released by Arcami, AudioControl, Bryston, Lexicon, NAD and StormAudio.
