Pitkän uran highend-hifin parissa, Audist Oy:n kauppiaana ja maahantuojana tehnyt Tarmo Ikonen on kuollut. Hän menehtyi nopeasti edenneeseen sairauteen jo tämän vuoden alussa, mutta tieto tavoitti meidät vasta taannoin.

Audist Oy:n historia alkoi jo vuonna 1988, joten aikaa on kulunnut. Tarmon olen tuntenut vuosikymmeniä. Tietenkin vain työn merkeissä Hifimessuilla ja aina myös aktiivisena mainostajana Hifialan lehdissä. Tarmo oli aina aktiivinen ja erittäin mukava kaveri, jonka kanssa oli kiva toimia.

Mieleenpainuvin yhteistyö oli MBL Reference X-Treme setin tuominen vuoden 2018 Hifimessuille Helsinkiin.

Tarmolla olikin pitkäaikainen ja tiivis suhde juuri MBL:n kanssa.

Tarmo Ikonen (1962-2021)

We are terribly sorry to announce our partner in Finland, Mr. Tarmo Ikonen, owner and manager of the distribution company Audist Oy has passed away.
Mr. Ikonen was a very respected and long-standing member of the Finnish hi-fi industry. MBL had the great fortune to have Tarmo as our exclusive distributor for a great many years.

It was a passion for music, and jazz in particular that brought Tarmo to a successful career in the high-end audio industry.
His love for all things musical not only created a tremendously warm atmosphere, but we were able to conduct business with a trust and openness that
allowed us to achieve so much together. Tarmo’s hard work culminated in one of the most successful MBL Reference X-Treme presentations during the Helsinki Hifi Show in September 2018. We also appreciated just often he traveled to promote MBL products in a territory so vast in size. He did so with a high level of professionalism and an unconditional appreciation for our products.

We send our heartfelt condolences to his wife, Elina, and his three boys, Tatu, Petro and Jon, as well his former partner, Pekka. Tarmo will be sadly missed by all of us at MBL.
