Compact audio devices from Poland
Polish company Ferrum Audio is a relatively new brand in the hi-fi sector, having been established in 2020. However, it has more than 20 years of expertise through the company HEM. Despite its short existence, the company has already won two EISA awards. The first was for the HYPSOS power supply last year. This year, the OOR headphone amplifier followed suit and won the EISA award. In addition, the range includes the ERCO headphone amplifier.
The company manufactures its equipment by hand, and they combine a compact size. The company’s goal is to combine sustainable development, durability, and quality with compactness and the best sound quality as affordably as possible.
HYPSOS is a programmable power supply with an electronic profile for hundreds of digital audio sources built in. These allow the device to be adapted to HYPSOS or to build its own profile. The price is 1,195 euros.
The OOR is an analog and balanced headphone amplifier. It is promised to offer low distortion, immense dynamics, and unparalleled detail reproduction without compromising listening fatigue. The price is 1,995 euros.
ERCO has also balanced the headphone amplifier but also the DAC. When combined with the ERCO HYPSOS power supply with Ferrum Power Link technology, the result promises to be an astonishingly musical overall system that will cope with even the most demanding headphone loads.
