Huawei brought new generation smartwatches, headphones and a tablet to Paris – the GT 6 promises record-breaking battery life

The WATCH GT 6 series has been filmed as Huawei's most important sports and outdoor watch series. The watch's design incorporates a new engineering solution that extends battery life by up to 21 days. The long battery life is complemented by the new TruSense™ system, which supports faster and more accurate health and fitness tracking than before.

Over 100 exercise modes have been added to the watch, including four new categories with particularly in-depth features. In cycling, there is a virtual power meter, in trail running a precise elevation profile and ascent analysis, in golf, course maps and shot data, and in skiing, versatile hill and off-piste analysis. With these updates, the GT 6 seriously challenges its competitors in the outdoor and recreational watch markets.

WATCH The key innovation of Ultimate 2 is underwater communication. This is the first commercial smartwatch that enables voice-over-the-water communication from one watch to another – even at a distance of 30 meters – and an SOS function up to 60 meters away.

The watch is designed to withstand dives at depths of up to 150 meters, making it an exceptionally robust device for divers’ needs. Additionally, it integrates an eSIM connection, a radio antenna, and a dual-frequency positioning system that ensures connections remain operational even in challenging conditions.

As the third novelty, WATCH D2 was presented, which continues Huawei’s commitment to health monitoring. The new feature of the device is a more comprehensive blood pressure measurement, which includes both individual measurements and repeated reminders. The device is available in a new blue color, and its price is said to be 449 euros.

The new FreeBuds 7i headphones combine Intelligent Dynamic ANC 4.0 noise reduction, Hi-Res Audio certification, and spatial sound. Huawei promises that the headphones adapt to their environment in real time and offer even clearer sound for calls with AI-assisted noise reduction. Head gesture controls and improved element technology add value for users in both everyday life and at work.

The event also featured the nova 14 phone series with the Ultra Chroma camera and the MatePad 12 X tablet with the M-Pencil Pro stylus. This was accompanied by a special focus on portrait photography and digital creativity. According to Huawei, the products offer top-notch recording and editing capabilities, but there are currently no plans to launch them in the Finnish market.

In addition to product innovations, Huawei unveiled a new brand vision “Now Is Yours”, which aims to increase dialogue with young consumers and emphasize the human side of technology. At the same time, the GoPaint 2025 competition was launched, encouraging young people to express their creativity in various art forms – including traditional painting techniques, digital visual art, and animation.
