IKEA introduced a Sonos-compatible shelf
IKEA has been presented At the Democratic Design Days conference in Sweden, the word "shelf speaker" is literally taken literally. The Symphonic Shelf is in fact both a shelf and a wireless speaker – and even compatible with the Sonos multi-room system.
The speaker is the first product of the long-planned collaboration between IKEA and Sonoco. The non-functional prototype was presented in Sweden, but it should be ready in about a year.
