Logitech introduced two new gaming keyboards with new GL switches
Two new gaming keyboards have appeared from Logitech. The G915 LIGHTSPEED is a wireless model, while the G815 LIGHTSYNC RGB is a wired version of the same keyboard that also features a USB 2.0 port with cables. Both are made of aluminum.
Both are low-profile and equipped with the first models to feature Logitech G’s new mechanical GL switches. Logitech promises that they provide a 25 percent faster press-down than the standard one. Three switch types are available: GL Linear, GL Tactile, and GL Clicky.
The Linear Press is lightweight and silent, the Tactile response is greater but the sound is quieter, and the Click is not only the Tactile press response but also has a loud click. The five G macro buttons can be customized for functions or command sequences. RGB lighting is also available on both. It offers 16.8 million colors. The G HUB gaming software is available for adjusting the color lighting settings.
The G915 uses LIGHTSPEED communication technology, which is promised to operate at a millisecond refresh rate. If desired, it can also be used via Bluetooth, allowing the keyboard to be connected simultaneously to two devices and switched between them at the touch of a button.
The battery life is promised to be 135 days if the keyboard is used about eight hours a day and the backlight is not on. With the backlight, the battery life is promised to be 12 days. The keyboard will notify when the battery level has dropped to 15 percent. Charging is promised to be complete in three hours.
The price for the Logitech G915 LIGHTSPEED is 249 euros, and for the Logitech G815 LIGHTSYNC RGB it is 199 euros.
