Nintendo jatkaa retrokonsolibuumia SNES Classicilla
Viime vuonna 8-bittisen NES-konsolin retroversiolla kohahduttanut Nintendo on ilmoittanut, että se tuo myyntiin tänä syksynä uuden version Super Nintendo Entertainment Systemistä eli SNES:istä. Nimeksi tulevalle konsolille on annettu Super Nintendo Classic Edition.
Mukana tulee 21 peliä, joista Star Fox 2:a ei aikoinaan julkaistu. Pakettiin kuuluu myös HDMI-kaapeli, latausjohto ja edellisestä klassikkomallista poiketen kaksi ohjainta. Yhdysvalloissa konsoli saapuu myyntiin 29. syyskuuta. Dollarihinnaksi on ilmoitettu 79,99 dollaria. Eurohinta ei ole vielä tiedossa.
Retrokonsolikisaan ovat lähtemässä tähänastisten tietojen mukaan Nintendon lisäksi Sega and Atari.
Mukana tulevat pelit ovat: Contra III: The Alien Wars, Donkey Kong Country, EarthBound, Final Fantasy III, F-ZERO, Kirby Super Star, Kirby’s Dream Course, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Mega Man X, Secret of Mana, Star Fox, Star Fox 2, Street Fighter® II Turbo: Hyper Fighting, Super Castlevania IV, Super Ghouls ’n Ghosts, Super Mario Kart, Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars, Super Mario World, Super Metroid, Super Punch-Out!! ja Yoshi’s Island.
