DJI Power 1000 Mini brings a kilowatt-hour power source to the road and a backup power source to the home

The DJI Power 1000 Mini has been specifically designed for mobile use, content production, and home use. The device can, for example, charge a mobile phone up to 54 times, a digital camera 53 times, or the drone battery eight times. The vehicle refrigerator has an operating time of up to 18 hours and the Wi-Fi router has a working time of 30 hours.

Applications also extend to home preparedness. For example, a refrigerator can be kept running for about seven hours, a lamp for 40 hours, and a microwave for one hour. The exact operating times depend, of course, on the power consumption of the device to be connected and the operating conditions.

The device measures 314 × 212 × 216 millimeters and weighs 11.5 kilograms. This means that a power supply is included, but not a lightweight pocket battery.

With the power supply, the DJI Power 1000 Mini charges to 80% of its capacity in 58 minutes, and full charging is indicated as taking 75 minutes. When used in auto mode, the charging is said to be successful in about 160 minutes with a 400-watt charging power.

The device also features an integrated MPPT module that allows solar panels to be connected directly without the need for a separate auxiliary device. This makes the power source an attractive option for camping, camping trips, and situations where mains power is not readily available.

The built-in 100-watt USB-C cable makes everyday use easier. The solution reduces the need for separate cables and is suitable for powering laptops, tablets, and other USB-C-compatible devices.

The Power 1000 Mini can also be used as an emergency backup power supply. Once connected to the mains, it is said to switch on in 0.01 seconds in the event of a power outage. The goal is for the devices connected to it to continue operating without a visible interruption.

This makes the novelty useful, for example, as protection for a router, NAS device, computer, or other critical small device. It also includes a built-in LED light that can be used either as a soft backlight or as a more powerful light source in emergency situations.

In battery technology, LFP cells are used, which are said to retain 80 percent of their capacity after 4,000 charging cycles. Battery management is monitored using several sensors, and the status can be monitored from the DJI Home app.

The structure has been focused on durability. The case is said to be made of flame-retardant materials, and it is reported to be able to withstand a weight of up to a ton. Additionally, the device is designed to operate at altitudes of up to 5,000 meters. The seal is said to protect against rain, condensation, and salt, which expands the usability for outdoor activities and more demanding environments.

The DJI Power 1000 Mini is designed to work with other DJI devices as well. Through the SDC connection, compatible accessories can be used, and quick-charging support is promised for certain drone batteries. For example, the DJI Air 3’s battery is said to charge from 10 percent to 95 percent in about 30 minutes.

The DJI Home app allows you to control the connections, adjust settings, and monitor power usage in real time.
