Roborock Saros Z70 brings a smart cleaning assistant to Finnish homes

The Saros Z70 is the world's first robot vacuum cleaner designed for the consumer market with an integrated mechanical arm. The OmniGrip arm is designed to pick up and move light household items such as socks, towels, and shoes. Operation is based on sensors, a camera, and LED lighting that allow the robot to assess what it can handle.

The arm operates completely automatically and is designed to open only when necessary. In addition, a child lock and an emergency stop have been incorporated into the device to improve safety.

The Roborock Saros Z70 uses the StarSight 2.0 navigation system, which combines artificial intelligence, an RGB camera, and a 3D Time-of-Flight sensor. The system detects over one hundred different obstacles and continuously learns more. VertiBeam technology enables smooth movement in even the most challenging environments, and the device is capable of crossing thresholds of up to four centimeters.

The cleaning power is based on a 22,000 Pa suction power, two rotating mop units, and intelligent tangle prevention. Cleaning also works efficiently in pet homes, as the device recognizes pets and adapts its cleaning route accordingly.

The Saros Z70 also serves as a home communication device. A camera integrated into the wrist allows for video calls and surveillance functions. The robot supports voice control as well as Apple Watch and the Matter 1.4 standard, making it easily integrable into a smart home.

The included Multi-Tasker Loader 4.0 automatically takes care of cleaning the mop, charging the robot vacuum cleaner, and even removing the mop from the carpet areas. 80 °C hot water washing and a 2.5-hour charging time complete the list of features.
